Abidjan
Abidjan, situated on the Ébrié Lagoon, is the largest city in Ivory Coast. Until 1983, it served as the capital of the country. Today, it is the main economic and cultural hub, home to over 4.7 million residents. The city is divided into two parts, separated by the lagoon, with diverse districts such as Cocody and Plateau. Thanks to the Vridi Canal, Abidjan is an important commercial port. The climate is tropical, with a rainy season from May to July, making December and January the best time to visit.
