About 15 kilometres from the city there is located a water park Solar das Aguas Calientes, in which everybody will find something for himself. It has slides and numerous pools, including those with natural, hot springs.

Maringá is the third biggest city in the Brazilian state Paraná. It is referred to as the city of music, in part due to the fact that it owes its name to a song. The song was dedicated to love of the author to Maria do Ingá and was highly popular in times when the city was founded.

Apart from lot of green area, Maringá is also standing out with other interesting facts. First of them is being crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn. That point was marked with special informative board. The other news is that an unusual building of the local cathedral Catedral Basílica Menor de Nossa Senhora da Glória has 124 metres of height!
